Meet Fluffy

In case some of you did not know we got rid of Sparkle (Oh yeaahh!!!). Ashlee said that she would get rid of her if she could get a new dog, and since we knew that any dog is better than Sparkle we agreed with her and found a new home for sparkle. We then went to the humane society and found her a new dog who she named Fluffy. That name in and of itself is funny because she is not fluffy at all she is mixed with a wire haired terrier so she is actually quite straggly. She is 4 years old, potty trained and quite well behaved. Ashlee loves her to death and that is what is important to me. She is so funny looking that she is actually cute. I hope that she will make Ash happy and she seems to fit in allot better than Sparkle!!!!

Scrapbooking anyone?

This past weekend we sold some stuff at the scrapbook expo. I have never experienced such a crazy and strange event in my life. There were all types of crazy and sane women there trying to get a good deal on scrapbook supplies. I have never seen such madness for rub ons and paper! Some of these women are down right nuts! When the sales were announced the madness ensued! It was a ton of work and Beck, Mike and Steph worked their guts out and I must say thanks because I am beat after the 2 days I put in, and I am sure they are worse off than I. Hopefully it was all worth it and we will be tired from carrying all that extra cash around!

Is it Spring yet?

I don't know about anyone else but I am ready for spring! I can't stand the teasing of 70 degrees one day and snow the next! If it snows once more I might flip out. Here's to a long and warm summer!!!

Poor Harley

In case some of you do not know we found out that Harley had a cancerous bump on his back. We had it removed last Saturday and hopefully they got it all. We will know more this Saturday. He has a good cut on his back. It is about 3 inches long and he was sore for a day or so. We hope all goes well for him and they got it all so he will be around for many more years to come.

He is supposed to wear this dumb collar to keep him from biting at them but he won't wear it. That's ok though cause he hasn't bothered them, so I put it to use to keep myself from biting.

Its a Boy!!

On Tuesday I became a Dad again. This time was slightly different than the other 2. No late night trip to the hospital, no contractions for Beck, no hospitals, no first feeding or bath, no birth, no baby. But there was a little boy, a new name and a loving and supportive family there to support us, there also was lots of stress, lots of smiles and some tears. But most of all we are happy that Kyller Scott is now a Pickle. We are also glad the process is over and we can move on to the next chapter of our lives! Kyller is very excited about being adopted. Today I asked him if he was happy about it all and he said, "yeah dad I am happy and I feel like a new kid cause I am adopted." I am glad that he is happy about it and I hope that we can be good parents for him and help him with anything he needs. I feel like we are pretty lucky to have him in our family and we love him allot!

Seminar 09

We just got back from our annual Chick-fil-A operators seminar in Long Beach California. We had a great time even though the weather didn't cooperate! We had a few days of motivational speakers and activities and visiting with friends. This year was busy but fun. Becky got recognized in a regional meeting for her generosity in the community and her personal life and that was way cool for her. We also got to have dinner with her family that lives in the LA area. On our last day there we got to go out on the ocean and look for whales. We got to see one for a brief second but we saw hundreds of dolphins and some sea lions. It was a great day on the ocean. We also got to go to the Long Beach aquarium and that was cool seeing all the fish and sea life. We also found out that next year we get to go to Washington DC and I am way excited about that!!!

Thanks to the grandparents for watching the kids and Harley! It is always nice to know they are safe and well taken care of while we are gone.

Update per Cassie's post

Since I received a chastising from Cassie on my comments I will address most of her questions. The reason I have not been blogging is because our computer is broken. I took it to best buy and payed $200 to get it fixed (remove viruses, Trojans, spy ware etc.) and now the dumb thing is so slow that I can't stand to sit here long enough to blog. But since I love Cassie so much and want to make her happy here goes!

I am excited that U2 has released a new single and am looking forward to the new album and tour. (Please come to Utah again!!) I like the song it has a slightly different sound but I like the fact that it rocks and I always want to turn it up when it comes on the radio.

I also was sick this month for about 2 weeks. I had pneumonia and was hospitalized for 2 days at Jordan Valley Hospital. I have never felt that sick in my life and still am not 100%, although each day I feel better. Jordan Valley was under construction and I have decided that if I ever get sick again I do not want to go to a facility under construction. My room was in shambles and the thermostat was non functioning so I sweated for 2 days straight. Christmas and my Birthday were both great however I do not have any pictures at this time due to my lack of patience for my computer, please see first of post for further info. Last of all I will comment on how much I love Cass. Here are some things I love about her...
She is one goofy gal. I always get a kick out of her and her sarcastic sense of humor. She is always a riot to be around and likes allot of the same stuff that I do.
She is a kick a@$ wake boarder and when I had my boat she was always willing to go out with her brother. She loves to go boating with her family and friends. She also loves her family and enjoys spending time with them. That is one of my favorite things about her.
She also is a Fun aunt to my kids and all her nieces and nephews. Whenever Cassie comes over all the kids run to her and give her a hug because they all love her so much.
She has a weird obsession of dressing up like a pregnant lady for Halloween once as Juno and another as a pregnant polygamist. both were equally awesome and she pulls them off well.
Cassie also loves all things pop culture and so do I. She knows almost everything about music, movies,tv, etc. and I think we should go to the world series of pop culture we would dominate! She also goes up to Sundance every year and even though she has never invited me I still think that is cool. She always lets me punch her in the arm, like any big brother would. And she hits me right back- awesome. She constantly puts up with her mother hounding her about finding a husband and still goes to see her all the time. By the way any suitors better pass my test or I will find you and beat you silly!!! She is a awesome sister and a great friend and I love her a ton. So sorry cass that I let you down with my blog maybe this will help you forgive me. Love ya -Scott

My favorite season of all!

This is one of my favorite times of year, and not because its the holiday's or because of the changing weather or my upcoming birthday. Nope its because it is the season of HAM!! I must say that ham is the perfect meat and is underused the majority of the year but for 1-2 magical months each year the hams come out in force. I think last year in November to December I had 7 hams and I am looking to break that record this year. If anyone wants a contest I am up for the challenge. I am already up to 2 this year and looking forward to any chance to add to that number. Long live the season of Ham!

No news is good news

I haven't forgot about my blog I have just been sick, busy and my computer has a virus. I would like to post some pictures but I have not taken any lately so here is a review of the past couple of weeks at the Pickle house. Since my last post Beck and I got called to be Rilee's church teachers. She was terrified that I would be to mean to her class and of course I played that up with her and her class. Although I don't think I have fooled anyone. The Girls got their report cards and both did fantastic as always. We had a BYU - Utah party on Saturday and it was a good time except for the final score! And yesterday I broke down and put up the Christmas lights! It was too nice out and I figured its easier to do it now than when there is snow on the roof! I have been out golfing once last week it was fantastic. The weather was good and the sun was out. I played in a t-shirt in mid November what is better than that? I promise I will get a better post up soon.
