Premier Night

Last night was the premier night at Chick-fil-A. This consisted of a invitation event to try out the food and check out the restaurant for the first time. Once again we had a huge turnout and were thankful for all the support. We had a few remarks then a dinner followed with some deserts and some prizes for all! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and I even had a kid who I didn't recognize come up to me and say "tell Becky she knows how to throw a party!" I thought that was pretty cool and summed up the night for me! Today she has a Ribbon cutting ceremony and many media events. She will be on Good Things Utah at 10:00 this morning if anyone wants to tune in.

Let the Feastivities Begin!!

Last night was the first party to set off the week of parties for Beck's new store! We had the dedication dinner last night at the Gathering Place in Gardener Village. It was a nice dinner with many in attendance. It is a Chick-fil-a tradition to dedicate the restaurant to the lord and so that's what we gathered for. It was great to see so many people there to support Becky in this new adventure. We had good food and some good talks. There will be many more festivities this week so I will be posting some more soon. Thanks to everyone for coming and showing support again.

I'm Anal

What is it about a fresh cut lawn? Man I just love it when it is a beautiful day and the lawn is freshly cut! I know this is weird to some people (one in particular in my neighborhood!!) but it just makes me happy to see the lawn freshly cut!

Happy Mothers Day!

Well I know that today is the day after mothers day but I couldn't get to the blog yesterday so here it goes. I just wanted to wish Becky a Happy Mothers day. She is a great mother and I don't tell her enough thanks for all that she does! I love her and her caring attitude and unconditional love of everyone. She teaches me new things everyday and help me be a better person. I love you.

I also have to say happy mothers day to my mom an tell her that I appreciate her and am thankful for her putting up with me when I was a kid (and probably more now). She is a awesome grandma and loves all the kids. She is always wanting to have a program or keep active and she does pretty good for her age! - Ha ha. I am also thankful for her teaching me all that she has. She is a amazing woman and I am lucky to call her Mom! I love you Mom.

And last but not least is my mother-in-law. I have a hard time calling her that because she has always treated me like a son and not a son-in-law. I always hear of people complaining about their mother in laws and I have got to say that I couldn't come up with a complaint! She is a fantastic mother and a great grandmother to my kids. I think she is great and I am lucky to have her as a mom too.

Isaiah's Birthday

Isaiah's party went off well. He was spoiled rotten and got many great gifts. He loves all his new stuff was happy to have everyone at his party. He told people about it for days. The first words to his teacher were I am 4 and I had a big party yesterday. Thanks to everyone for coming to the party. It is sad to think that that might be his only birthday with us but we will have to see. We still are waiting for the courts to decide what will happen so until that happens we are in limbo. He seems to be doing better lately and is even happy to see his mom most of the time, so at least there is some improvement there. We have struggles with the situation daily but as long as he is happy we can live with whatever happens since it is out of our control.

Promotion Ceremony

Yesterday was the big day. I had my promotion ceremony and was given my new badge. It was a short ceremony with the Chief and the rest of the Command Staff in attendance. I was lucky to have Becky and Isaiah and Mom and Dad there with me. It was a nice ceremony and I am glad to be advancing at work and with the fact that I still love my job. I was promoted with 5 other Engineers and many of them are my good friends from work so that was nice to share the day with them.

The other night Cassie came over to watch the Office with us and she reminded me of a sweet 80's Show that I loved as a kid-RAD!

Well I found a clip of it on you tube and put up a link for anyone who wants to travel back to the eighties! Bicycle Boogie anyone? the clip is on the side bar. You will need to pause the music player before starting the clip sorry. Enjoy!!

It is about time!

It is official I am finally getting promoted to engineer! I had my interview with the Chief today and as of 4-16-08 I will be a Engineer! This is a picture of the Snowbird station where I working out of right now. Check out that view! There are six of us getting promoted so it was a good test to do good on. I am glad the testing process is over and that I made it. I guess even I can get lucky every once in a while!

Football anyone?

In my search for anything football in the offseason I looked at BYU's website to discover that the season ticket renewals are up for sale! I know this is not much to most people but I got way excited! I think I may have a problem when I get excited about having to drop a couple hundred for my seats again, but boy does it make me happy that it is getting closer to the season!

I've been tagged!

I will accept Cassie's tag with one condition and that is that I will not tag six others because she took all the people that I know who blog. So here goes 6 things about me...

1- I love my job! I think that is a rarity but I am often amazed that they actually pay me to be there! It is like being part of a frat but you get paid. Where else can you throw snowballs at the cops and they just laugh at you and not arrest you!

2- I am a Rob and Big fan! I think this is the stupidest show on TV yet i have to watch it when it is on. Do Work Son!!

3- I Love all things football! Seriously I could (and do at work) watch it all day! It doesn't matter If it is college, pro, high school, little league or just a pregame show I will watch it all.

4- I am anal about my lawn! I sometimes cut it twice a week just because I don't like it to get to long. I have even been known to cut it in the rain.

5- I have recently found out that I like to wear slippers. I have some that I just got at work and I have to get out of my boots as soon as I get in the station. they are just so comfy.

6- I left this one for last but not because it is in this order but because it is the best. I love my family and the fact that I get to be home with them more than most dads is awesome. I am truly blessed and I also love my wife and Cherish the relationship that we have and the fact that she puts up with me and my grumpiness on a daily basis!

Happy Easter

We had a Awesome Easter weekend! It started with my truck catching on fire (no damage and still unknown where or why!). Then I got into a wreck in the aforementioned truck ( I won). Rilee had tonsilitus and had to go to insta-care. But then the fun began. We had 2 easter parties one on Saturday night at the Pickles. We were treated to a fine dinner and a great Easter egg hunt. As you can see by the picture there was plenty of eggs to be found. All the kids got their fill and i'm sure a cavity or two will result from the spoils! Rilee had to stay home so Cassie hunted for her. They look so alike in a few years who would know the difference right? Ashlee and Isaiah had fun with the cousins finding eggs and prizes on the lawn.
On Sunday we had a nice morning with a visit from the Bunny bringing goodies and clothes for the kids. They each got a Kite and a Kickboard for swimming lessons and boating and plenty more candy. Then off to church and then to the Andersons for dinner. We had a great dinner and another egg hunt with yet more candy to be found. Can anyone say hyper kids? Overall the weekend was awesome and we are truely blessed to have such wonderful family to share our lives with.

Gone to the Dogs!

I have failed to put up any pictures of my two pains-err I mean pets.
We have our Lab Harley he is about 5 years old and a pretty good dog as far as dogs go. and then our latest addition is Sparkle the chihuaha. She was Ashlee's present for Christmas. She is only about 3 pounds and that is a huge contrast from Harley who is about 100 pounds!

They are quite the pair as you can see and Harley has done pretty good with her unless she gets on him when he is laying down then he has been known to growl at her. But Ashlee loves her and that smile on her face Christmas morning made it all worth it to me.
