Spring Football Clinic

We just got back from the BYU spring football clinic and scrimmage. It was a fun time the kids had fun being on the field and meeting their favorite players. We got autographs and pictures from Jake Heaps (the new QB from Washington) and Harvey Unga, mine and Rilee's favorite player. It was cool to see them up close and for the kids to meet them. then we got to watch some practice and a scrimmage. It was fun to slightly quench my football cravings and enjoy the gorgeous spring day.

DC / New York in February.....Why not?!?!

Here are some pics from our last trip to DC and New york. We went to DC for our annual Chick-fil-a seminar and since we were right there we jumped a flight to New York and met Cass and Danielle for a fun couple of wintery New York days. I loved DC and my favorite 2 things were the Lincoln memorial and the Star Spangled banner exhibit. Both had quite a reverent feel to them and I had to reflect on my love of our country and the blessings we have because of the forefathers and the patriots that gave so much that we can have our freedoms today. I wish we had more time in DC to sight see and I hope to get to go back some day to see more.

New York was next and we arrived to a blizzard and cold! It was cool to see the sights. We saw Ground Zero, FAO Schwartz toy store, the Statue of Liberty, Time Square, The subway (Where we treated to a pole dance by Cass and Danielle!), the Smithsonian, Central Park and many other places. We saw 2 shows, Billy Elliot and Mary Poppins. I liked Mary Poppins believe it or not! The trip was a success and although I could live without another trip to New York, Becky Loved it there and wants to go back for sure. Maybe next time I can sneak in a football game to make it funner for me!! enjoy the picks.

Disneyland, Graceland.....and Little Rock?

Our family went on a trip a few weeks ago to Disneyland/Southern California and then after 5 days there we flew into Memphis to meet Dan and Chelsea for a day then we drove to their home in Little Rock. It was a long trip but we had a good time. We spent 3 days in Disney then one in Universal studios and then one in Sea world and the last at the beach. We had fantastic weather and no crowds at any of the parks. We fed dolphins and Rays at sea world saw Shamu and allot of other cool sea life. Our favorite thing at Universal was the Back lot tour and the Shrek 4d movie. Memphis was fun we saw Graceland and the Civil rights museum both were cool and we even at BBQ on Beil street. Then we went to Little Rock and visited the Andersons. It was fun to see them and just hang around. We went to a park and to a BBQ joint called the Whole Hog, it was a place after my own heart and I wish there were more BBQ places like that in Utah!! Here are some pics I hope you all enjoy!

Watch more pigskin, Eat More Chicken!

I just got back from a fun trip to the Chick-fil-A bowl in Atlanta, GA. I went on the trip with my Mom, yep that's right my mom. (She is football fanatic in case you didn't know) We were gone for 3 days and had a great bowl experience. We got to see the world of coca cola, the bowl parade, go to a fan fest with 39,000 other fans and see the bowl game in the Georgia dome. The game was between Virginia Tech and Tennessee and was won by Virginia Tech. It was cool to see the Georgia dome and the traditions of the schools at the game. We had fun at the parade seeing the many groups of the twirling teams that Georgia had to offer my favorite was the team of 50-60 year old ladies. I had a ball and think it is way cool that my mom was willing to come with me and she must be the coolest mom around and she did good for a woman her age. Thanks to Becky for getting us the tickets and staying with the kids so we could go. Love you babe!! And I hope to keep up the tradition of going to a bowl game maybe next time I can go see my Cougars play.
